Catalyzing Development through TOD in Koba, Gandhinagar.

Transit-Oriented Development as a catalyst for growth and unlocking local potential can be very successful. By strengthening the connection between the two cities and bringing development parity, this will encourage habitation and growth in the region. Our Urban Expansion and Regeneration Studio has examined how the Development Plan released land in the south to support regional growth pressures and rising development in the southern periphery of GNA due to its proximity to Ahmedabad, as well as how the establishment of GIFT City and PDEU were also crucial in fostering growth in the southern direction. Through regional to micro level research and stakeholder consultation during this session, we also learned about the site's many strengths, challenges, and opportunities. As a result, we have concentrated on developing micro-level plans using the Town Planning Schemes mechanism by incorporating multi-disciplinary aspects of Transit-Oriented Development in order to achieve Sustainable Urban Development in the Koba area of Gandhinagar in accordance with the GTPUD Act. The studio has assisted us in developing and understanding the Town Planning Scheme's implementation mechanism through investigation of various site selection, proposal, appropriation, and reconstitution principles.
