Envisaging Shilaj-Bhadaj as a self-sustaining node

Shilaj-Bhadaj is an outgrowth in the western part of Ahmedabad, a majority portion of the site area comes under the agricultural zone as per the AUDA Development plan. Moreover, the area acts as an interface between the city's rural and urban parts. Due to the Pandemic of 2020, it was seen that a major portion of the city’s population has migrated to this area, hence, creating it as an absorber land for higher footfall. The studio exercise focuses on creating a town planning scheme for the region to facilitate patterned growth and development.
