Bridge

In Indian culture, the people have a unique and intimate relationship with rivers. Due the rapid urbanization and lack of functions and accessibility, people have become distant from the Vishwamitri river ecology. This design explores bridging the gap between the river ecology and people. A large amount of public vacant land and dense vegetation along the river makes it inaccessible to people. This project aims to enhance the connection between the urban fabric and river ecology with a holistic approach. By improving accessibility, creating pause points and integrating of the existing lifestyle of localist activities while creating new programs.
