Chandkheda gam lies in the northwestern periphery of Ahmedabad city, towards the west of Sabarmati river within the jurisdiction of Chandkheda. Previously, the majority of land in Chandkheda was owned and operated by farmers and cattle ranchers. Chandkheda is on the outskirts of the city, far from the crowded urban city center but still connected via SH-41. Being predominantly residential, the area has housing societies with row houses as a major building typology. Chandkheda established its connection with Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar cities through Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) in around 2015.
