The portfolio is part of Understanding the City studio serving as a foundation for Master’s in Urban Planning. This studio is aimed to understand the city by studying and analysing 1 Sq.km area of the city. The study is intended to understand the basic planning parameters influenced by cultural, political, economic, and environmental factors. Chandkheda-Motera are the developing areas in north-western Ahmedabad. They are situated west of Sabarmati River bridging the gap between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The precinct falls under Chandkheda and Motera ward, separated by the State Highway. These sub-urban areas have developed tremendously in the last two decades
