Dudheshwar : Evolution of the Industrial Hub

Dudheshwar, evolved as an Industrial Hub, has seen several changes in accessibility, land use, increase in built density, etc in the last two decades. A few developments that happened in nearby areas have also affected the site. For example, after the construction of the Rishi Dadhichi bridge, or the completion of the Sabarmati riverfront project, the area became more accessible. The introduction of the BRTS route, and the construction of commercial hubs after demolishing the Mills, have bombarded the economy as well as the commercial use and increase in commercial and residential built areas. Increase in commercial buildings and newly constructed industries with better accessibility, residential areas also started getting denser.
