Industrial influence in the morphology of Memco

Memco, which is situated in Ahmedabad's eastern region, has been studied for the foundation semester. It is in close proximity to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport and Naroda Industrial estate. The Lal Bahadur Shastri road cutting through the center of the precinct area divides the precinct into Industrial and Residential zones. This portfolio talks about the major determinants that caused the transformation of a large industrial area into a diverse locality with several residential development and commercial activities. By presenting an in-depth analysis of three facets of Memco-the evolution of urban morphology through history, streets, constructed form, and land use this project report seeks to understand and quantify the parameters required to really understand the city.
