The portfolio summarizes the key findings of 1sqkm precinct of Kalupur, which is located in the eastern part of the Sabarmati river in the walled city area. It has retained its past heritage characteristics and has grown to be a major commercial center of Ahmedabad. Kalupur developed around its protected architectural heritage, prominent street networks and residential conglomeration called pols (Housing cluster of many families). Different urban parameters which contribute to the transformation of the place are studied using primary on-site surveys and research of the area.
