Ahmedabad is located on the western side of India in the state of Gujarat, the fifth largest metropolitan of India. It developed along the Sabarmati riverbank. Ambawadi is one of the oldest settlements in the southwestern part of Ahmedabad. It has been witnessing the growth and development of the city.  This study captures the Evolution of Ambawadi from urban sprawl to a metropolitan area while retaining its character as a recreational zone for the city and different parameters which acts a major role into develop its Urban fabric.
