Computation of Dynamic Structures

The objective of the research is to study the dynamic characteristics of structures in motion, and elements, and to develop a computational model of parametric achieving construction data in the end outcome. During the study, we will consider and analyse the structures in nature and their dynamics of them with their transformative capabilities. This will include the study of transforming nature of trees, animals, birds, plants, etc. All elements of a system acting as an element of structure will be observed and calculated. This will also include the study of motion, materials in different contexts, different scales, vibration study, environmental effects, and incorporation of such structures in the surrounding how the overall environment is created. We have been reading and hearing about the moving, rotating or collapsable buildings, facades, stadiums, bridges, etc. We will observe and study the dynamic elements, mechanisms, products, motions, buildings, and other environments. Students will go through the core concept of the motion of a system of bodies/elements of projects or products with the consideration of the forces or potential fields affecting the motion. We will examine the motions, momentum and energy that are shared among intersecting bodies which will allow parts of the structure to move.
