PASSIVE COMFORT LAB

Passive comfort lab is a complete course exploring basic principles and concepts of building physics including heat transfer, solar geometry & shading mask, moisture transfer, psychrometry, thermal comfort and in-depth study of climate and its analysis. The course project is an application of these fundamentals comparing the theoretical mathematical model and experimental measurements by designing and fabricating a 1cu.m. volume which helps understand the effect of different external elements that affect the building envelop and thermal comfort in a building. Building Simulations using software like Design Builder is carried out to analyze the thermal behavioral characteristics of building envelop.
