Surat is served by the busy north?south line of the Western Railways connecting Gujarat with Mumbai and other important centers. Branches of the railway line serve areas of Udhna, Jalgaon and Bhestan. At present Surat Railway Station area faces congestion problems. In turn the junctions and roads leading to the station also face severe congestion problems. Therefore, there is a need to reduce the trips generated to and from Surat Railway Station.To reduce traffic congestion at Surat Railway Station and major junctions which lead to the Station Present Scenario.
