A Tale of Nine Centers

The place for prayer is identified as a place for 'Rumination, Reflection, and Realization'. It builds on the idea of prayer as a thought-driven process. The spaces are thereby meant to accommodate activities that facilitate communal and individual acts of prayer. The prayer they inform then requires one to look within themselves. As a result of this inward focus, the centre becomes prominent. The place for prayer thus becomes a tale of nine centres. Throughout the design, an effort is made to celebrate these centres, in the different scales and forms that they exist in.
