Architectural Conservation of Bela Darbargarh

The Bela Darbargarh is an example of a residential fortification of approximately 4700 sq. m. It is a privately owned fortification by the Vaghela family in Bela. The site is currently in a ruined state majorly due to the 2001 earthquake. The residences are not inhabited. Understanding the issues on site and related context, the Studio aimed at envisaging a design proposal and in turn, preparing a conservation strategy for it.
