Seeding Civic Life

The Commons are the cultural and natural resources of larger systems which acts as an anchor to the society. The area in and around the River Vishwamitri and Lakshmi Vilas Palace is heart of the city as it has cultural and historical significance and ground complex. Informal settlements started coming along the river after independence which has lost their connections with the river and other parts of the city. The river is unacknowledged by the people and the grounds are going through changes so in the future what will happen and connection with the neighborhood will also be lost. So the project aims to reinforce the identity of the edges through community realm and socially inclusive unbuilt spaces reflecting livability of the neighborhood.
