The study looks at achieving energy efficiency through the analysis of components of a building envelope. It is a part of a two-episode series which attempts to look at energy-efficient neighbourhoods in the context of India through a case study of certain localities in Hyderabad.
As we step further into the 21st century with climate changing drastically, there is a dire need for collective intervention and a shift in the way we live along with the way in which our buildings and neighbourhoods are built, addressing not just humans but also the environment. The study focuses on how one can intervene at the early stages to design energy-efficient building envelopes.
