UNDERSTANDING HISTORIC STRUCTURES_Dharmaj Public Library

This portfolio is a compilation of work done as part of MCR foundation studio. The studio structured into three distinct yet interdependent modules showcase different methods and techniques for understanding historic buildings. The portfolio is concluded with a statement of significance developed based on the studies conducted through the three modules.  The structure considered for the study, Motibhai Dayabhai Sarvajanik Pusthkalaya – The Public library, Dharmaj (Anand district, Gujrat). Is believed to be constructed as a part of the Library movement in Baroda in the year 1906, the library still serves its purpose of bringing knowledge to the people of Dharmaj.
