A place for water

Today, water comes to our doorsteps and its place in our lives has been relegated to merely a detached utilitarian object. In an age whose future is haunted by an impending water crisis, it becomes essential to re-look at our relationship to water, and re-define it so as to create an intimate awareness of its beauty and scarcity.   The project aims to negotiate between the past memories and stories connected to water, a present-day re-creation of a public place of water and the environmental conservational outlook on the future of water and its equitable distribution. Can we reconcile these different temporal perceptions of water?
