The project proposes an urban insert in a complex fabric that could have a larger impact on the city. Manek Chowk is the oldest and the most vibrant squares that forms the core of the walled city. It sits amidst a heritage precinct with Raja No Hajiro, Rani No Hajiro, Jama Masjid and Juna Sher Bazaar around it. Over the period of time, due to over commercialization and encroachments, the monuments have lost its accessibility and have blended in the background. The idea is to revive the heritage axis connecting the three monuments and bring them back to the foreground.
