Introducing Moisture in a Parched Space

The studio works include multiple explorations based on the understanding of a series of readings. Each reading is explored through exploratory sketches which later translate into design outputs on the site. The final exploration ‘Sukoon’ is based on the introduction of calmness and moisture in a space of unforgiving heat and dryness. The site is the Kund area and the back alley connecting the North lawns to the Kund on CEPT campus and based on the first impression of the site, the proposal was explored. The concepts of Phenomenology were used for the final design exploration. Manipulating the space for user experience by exploring the poetic aspects of the Land and sensory design helped in creating a memorable experience
