Stone Workshop in Mandu

This outcome is a set of explorations done throughout the semester revolving around structure, spanning and space-making. A stone Workshop in Mandu has been built. Facing the valley on one side and lake on the other the site provides lovely contours to build on. Using initially brick and RCC and then later only brick, this project has been built as a pure compression structure, considering the load and thrust of the spanning system. The main concept being followed throughout is of the supports of the structure being spaces of their own.
