Completing the material manifestation of a philosophy

Golconde is a four storey dormitory for the disciples of Sri Aurobindo, known to be the material manifestation of his philosophy. It is a building designed to house his disciples and foster their lifestyles, adhering to his principles. Interestingly, one thinks of this building only as a retreat for its disciples. After analysing the philosophy itself, it becomes clear that transcendence is not achieved by isolating yourself, but by engaging with the rest of the community and the mediocrity, so everyone can reach a higher level of consciousness. On further investigations and systematic inquiries, one realizes how in the translation of a philosophy into a program, a crucial aspect of the philosophy itself was lost. The project hence, with subtle changes, attempts to address the commune of Golconde.
