Centraal Beheer is five - storey cooperative headquarters, owned by a private insurance company that holds the ideology of a community workplace by generating an organized city within a building in the center of Apeldoorn, Netherlands. The building is the system of modules that get translated into the form directly from the Dutch societal beliefs in the 1960s and structuralist characters. The building acts as a city within itself with no connection to the surrounding context, a hermetic city of technocrats.
The re-imagination of Centraal Beheer flips the massing and tapers down from north to south to meet and work in sun. The south court allows people to connect and regenerate the presence of the neighborhood through the building. It brings the civic condition that before just remained as the hermetic Utopian city within itself. The ground floor allows to free the social street on the upper floors of Beheer and connects to the neighborhood. The floors above form a strong community workplace while still being part of the ground floor as a connection to the city.
