Samabeong Tea Estate

The site, Samabeong Tea Bungalow, located amidst tea gardens in West Bengal is to be redesigned. Taking psychology as a starting point for the concept, three points are taken forward from this abstract idea to create a tangible design.
1.  Past - a. Preserving the past by keeping parts of the existing building. b. Creating an experience which reminds the guest of the past which the estate has gone through.
2. Factors - Main factor: Intention to provide wholesome experiences to guests (Nature, Culture, Recreation, Relaxation)
3.  Layers - Adding layers on site, building and interior levels based on the factors and the intention to be reminded of the past.
