Visual Storytelling : Abstraction & Narratives

In this studio, we learnt how to tell stories efficiently and infuse meaning into each element of it. We began with using basic shapes to represent plots and emotions. Then we worked with typography, where we learnt how to manipulate typefaces and fonts to engage the viewer. A common theme that was explored, was abstraction. From images, animals to poems and words, we extracted any and all forms of narratives. As the final project, we employed all these skills to tell a story that we built from scratch through research and engaging with communities.
