VISUAL STORYTELLING

To explore the world of visual storytelling through different exercises that exposed us to typography, abstraction & narrative building to name a few. All the exercises helped in the culmination of the final project. An anaglyph art that explores the generational gaps, specifically through the relationship of my grandfather and me, represented through superimposing layers.

This involved working with the selected animal to create two abstracted visuals. One for a children's brand merchandise and the other for a heavy metal band.

The brief was to create an A3 sized visual using a poem written by me using metaphors. Key emphasis being on typography, composition, and abstraction.

Initial explorations that led to the final poem.

Creating five characters out of the object chosen and then creating a narrative with frames based on one of the characters created.

Narrative building.

To find a story and to visualise it keeping the the theme in focus was the brief for the final project
