Enhancing Urban Governance: Streetlights

Himatnagar is a class II town in Sabarkantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of the district. The city is developed on the bank of the river Hathmati. The road network and street edges were studied with specific focus on the streetlights in the city.As a part of this studio project, the functions and operations were analyzed with the help of surveys, interviews and observations. Feasibility analysis and benchmarking was done to recommend solutions for the areas of improvement identified as mentioned.
