The Next Economy, Infrastructure for Local Markets

The goal of the City Infrastructure Plan Studio is to offer a comprehensive knowledge of how a city's infrastructure plan is created and implemented. The purpose of this studio is to create an infrastructure plan for the city of Indore that is in line with long-term growth aspirations (SDGs). The cities have been evolved through periods because of the trade and business opportunities it offered. The economy makes the city and its citizens. Similarly, the local trade and market is an integral part of city economy making cities, and their people by providing employment and city provided infrastructure for trading. Through City Infrastructure Plan we have identified them local markets and businesses of Indore and analyzed the key gaps and issues of the markets, based on which City Infrastructure Plan of Local Economy has been prepared. Followed by individual Pilot Projects to enhance and accelerate the functioning of markets and resolve the gaps and issues.
