Vocalizing The Local Market

The portfolio represent a detailed study of Indore located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The spacial extent of the city for IMC Boundary is 275 Sq.km area with a population of 2.37 million as per census 2011. The study surrounds around a Infrastructure planning project of the city and to understand how and what kind of situation is there in the city and to find out gaps and key issues. These gaps are found by surveying the city by the student through 8 different sectors like Water, sanitation, storm water, soli waste, local economic infrastructure, heritage, social infrastructure and blue green infrastructure. And this portfolio focus on the study of local markets of Indore, finding its gaps and issues and to provide necessary proposal or solution. The information of this portfolio is gathered through qualitative and quantitative methodologies by site walk through, primary observations, documenting via photographs, mapping activities and interacting with local people. The narrative of the portfolio is based on “Proposing Infrastructure for Haat markets ”.
