Examining Transit Oriented Development (TOD) precincts for NMT accessibility

The study would examine precincts which have mass transit system transit stops (BRTS/Metro) and analyse how accessible they are for pedestrians, bicyclists and other modes of non-motorized transport. The study would do a case study where a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) approach for NMT has been successfully implemented. The later part of the study would involve selecting a TOD zone in a city and analysing the influence zone of the MRTS station for pedestrian and other NMT based accessibility. The study would also look at existing policies/acts/guidelines which promote TOD and identify gaps in the same.
