Mahatma Gandhi Vasahat is a site in Vasantnagar, Gota, Ahmedabad which is a housing scheme for the LIG. The project aims making that settlement a better place for living by revamping the existing courtyard typology of housing. This is done by providing larger houses, better connectivity, provision of spillover spaces and connecting different courtyards. The idea is to create micro-neighborhoods to make the settlement welcoming for all.  There will be a hierarchy of open spaces from public to private ensuring privacy and sense of belonging; providing spaces for community interactions and gatherings.
