Surat: Development Plan for a Resilient Compact City

This portfolio is a compilation of both individual and group work taken up as a part of the Development Plan studio. The city taken for study for which the development plan has been prepared is Surat. Along with land-use zoning, all other sectors of a development plan namely transport, infrastructure, housing, costing, and revenue generation has been taken into consideration and has been addressed. The portfolio starts with two individual exercises done as a part of this studio and gradually moves on to the existing situation analysis of the city of Surat and finally ends with proposals and recommendations of the Development Plan. Individually, I have contributed entirely to the part of Infrastructure, Costing and Revenue Generation. Other than this I have contributed partially to group work discussions for Land Use Zoning Proposals, Road network proposals, and population projections. Apart from this, I have contributed my technical knowledge and expertise in GIS for all the GIS-related work that this development plan required.
