Towards Market-Driven Approach - Surat DP 2041

Surat is the fastest-growing urban center in India. Identifying the strategic location and its potential to yield unprecedented outcomes in the future, the future is envisioning the city as a regional center along India's  Western corridor. At this point,  the city essentially needs to take the maximum advantage of the proposed mega-infrastructure projects which will make Surat a global economic center. The proposed development plan is an academic exercise, where an attempt is made to prepare a comprehensive development plan for Surat for the year  2041 exploring the liberal and market-driven approach as a way forward for its future growth
