OPTIMIZING TRANSACTION PROCESS: LAND TO BUILT SPACE

Portfolio aims at developing citywide housing strategy to improve access to affordable and decent housing for all income groups. This is achieved in three stages- Assessing the situation, envisioning the future and formulating city-wide strategies. Individual Sub-strategy focuses on optimizing the transaction process while converting land to built space. High transaction costs with a complex and time-consuming transaction process is resulting in an overall increase in the price of a housing unit. So reforms are needed in order to ensure that all income groups are benefited with the reduction in the percentage of total cost for an unit.
