This project focusses on providing strategies to make the freight movement more efficient to facilitate future growth of the economic base. The existing situation was understood by analyzing the demography and economy of the city with secondary information and site surveys. Furthermore, the future population and economy were projected and travel demand and the existing scenario of  the city was analyzed with the secondary data and household survey data. Major issues were identified by site surveys and existing primary data. With the situational analysis, alternative solutions were provided and were evaluated.
