Improving Transport Systems for the Improved Mobility

This studio's focus was to create a "Strategic Transportation Plan" for Mahesana city. The exercises were conducted from the perspective of transportation. Data gathering, existing situation analysis, and suggestions based on issue identification were the three steps of the studio work. Based on analytical study, specific recommendations were given in areas such as the road network, freight vehicular movements, intermediate public transportation, non motorized transportation, and Mahesana's core city area. Furthermore, by studying economic growth and the city's future expansion in a variety of ways, scenarios such as business as usual and another as a city with booming growth were developed, and recommendations were prepared in accordance with future city development. We worked on road network, public transportation, NMT and junction design, old city, and freight ideas as part of Group 2. This portfolio focuses on public transportation and intermediate public transportation concepts.
