Public Transport and Intermediate Public Transport

The aim of this studio was to make a “Strategic Transportation Plan” for the city of Mahesana. The exercise carried out were from a transportation point of view. The studio was divided into three phases as data collection, existing situation analysis and the proposals based on issue identification. Every facet of transportation was examined, and specific suggestions were made in sectors such as road network, freight vehicular movements, public transit, non-motorized transportation, and Mahesana's core city area based proposal on analytical research. Also, by examining economic growth, and the city's future expansion in many ways, scenarios such as business as usual and another as a city with booming growth was created, and suggestions were provided in accordance with elements of future city development. As a part of Group 1, we focused on proposals for road network, public transport, NMT and junction design, city centre and freight proposals. This portfolio focuses specifically focuses on the proposals for Public Transport and Intermediate Public Transport.
