Hatkeshwar-A Suburb in Transition.

The one square km study area (Hatkeshwar) is situated towards eastern part of City, includes a wide variety of Infrastructure, right from national highway, water canals and over bridges to high-rise buildings as well as crammed slums. The precinct is connected with Express highway and Vadodara highway, which are home mode of travelling from one place to other for all modes of transport. Highway is a rush of associations and movements and keep the surrounding active all the time in a day. However, as the development happened with the highway and had a major impact in segregation of society and income groups.
