Helmet Junction is an important junction on Drive in Road, where it intersect the 132 feet ring road. It already has various modes of transport present, most importantly the BRTS and soon to be completed MRTS. There is also a growth in the development around this area. On the other hand there are underutilized institutional lands, and buildings that are not responding to the TOD. Hence in order to steer the development in a guided manner, the first step is to create an efficient interchange, where future commuters can move with ease, and experience a vibrant public realm.
