Bhadra Heritage Precinct with BRTS Connectivity

Raikhad is situated on the Eastern Sabarmati riverbank, at the heart of the walled heritage city, spanning an area of 1.24 sq. km and is enclosed by the fort wall that acted as a flood barrier that has undergone conservative surgeries over time to make the Eastern parts accessible. The project area is along the BRTS corridor entering the eastern half of the city through the Ellis Bridge. The project focuses on the Bhadra Heritage Precinct with the BRTS connectivity. It includes developing heritage responsive built form and adding public open spaces and NMT streets to the context.
