G+4 Hostel Building at Gandhinagar.

My project work was to analysis , design and detail G+4 hostel located at Gandhinagar, Gujarat ,India. Special features of the G+4 hotel building are it is long and narrow building with SBC of only 120kN/sq. m and the exposure condition was severe. Due to severe exposure condition I got large slab and beam depths( due to 45mm of nominal cover as given in IS:456) . Column placement was quite easy but beam layout was little complicated task in balcony part. And as mentioned the by studying crack width clause 0.2mm crack is permissible for my structure.
