Developing a web processing tool for delineation of water catchment areas.
A digital elevation model (DEM) is a 3D computer graphics representation of elevation data to represent terrain i.e bare ground (bare earth) topographic surface of the Earth?excluding trees, buildings, and any other surface objects.?
Digital elevation Model (DEM) is one of the most important data products that has found its application in various domains including planning , disaster , hydrology , water resource , construction etc.
This study aims at developing a Web Processing Service (WPS) as a tool for automated generation of water catchment from satellite imagery .This project focuses on using the capabilities of open source technology to create this tool.
