Real Time Geofencing within the Tiger Heartland of Sunderbans

The use of remote sensors has evolved from very high frequency (VHF) radio beacons to Global Navigation Satellite Systems, When combined with continuous, algorithm-based analytical capability, unique opportunities emerge for applied ecological monitoring and wildlife conservation. We present an approach for algorithmic wildlife monitoring in real time—proximity analysis & geofencing, using web based geospatial technologies.
