SUSTAINABLE DWELLING in Ahmedabad

Sustainability is the equilibrium between the environment, social equity and economy. Sustainable architecture fundamental focus is to reduce the environmental impact. It also indicates the use of environmentally friendly systems and building materials during construction without causing harm to the built environment. The Studio started by introducing sustainability as a concept, by conducting the life cycle analysis of a product. Further, we studied the impact of Construction on the Environment through Urban Heat Island Effect.
Taking our own dwelling as a case study we studied its behavior under various environmental factors. Having the results of Analysis in mind we proceeded with our Studio Project. Which started by analyzing the best orientation of the building then proceeding to better its performance and optimize the Natural factors like Ventilation and Daylight. Later we provided necessary material changes and Studied its Energy requirement under various conditions. I reduced the Energy requirement and then provided for PV Cells according to the requirement. Thus we developed a project and took steps to make it a NET ZERO BUILDING. Link to Portfolio.  Link to Miro Board.
