Reviving the Heart of the Old City

Ghee Kanta is located in the center of the Old City of Ahmedabad. It's an area carrying a huge heritage potential. Area has a variety of built fabrics due to past regulations and is now facing difficulty in redevelopment because of present regulations. The LAP plan creates a path for the area to conserve its heritage character as well as allows other parts to revive the form based on proposed form-based regulations while integrating the major potential factor recently added in form of a metro station. The LAP represents a harmonical integration of TOD and heritage conservation.
