The Annapoorna Program envisions a path to Zero Food Loss and Waste. Surplus edible food shall be diverted for eradicating hunger, and food scraps shall be composted for a complete food cycle. A circular economy for Food in our cities.
The first project under Annapoorna shall focus on implementing food loss and waste recovery for Fresh Produce Vegetables and Fruits. While post the project timeline, other aspects of food loss and waste would be tackled. These would include Food Loss and Waste Recovery from Restaurants, Households, MSME's and markets.
Annapoorna envisions a Zero Waste and Zero Hunger future for all.
