Art Residency Project is a program that provides time and space in support of creative research and experimentation with an emphasis on creating opportunities for artists through different art forms. The design process started with decoding a music piece, Bibo No Aozora, and creating a narrative for a place to contemplate. The three main ideas for the built spaces are a sense of uneasiness, a sense of release, and a sense of nostalgia. The design program includes exhibition spaces, artist store, toilets, mezzanine level space and a cafeteria. The idea is to create a maze which leads to exhibition spaces and then release to cafeteria and amphitheater.
