Inequalities in quality of housing and basic infrastructure among the Urban fringe communities.
As cities grow and urban population spills over in the fringe areas, we see a distinct pattern of urban development emerging, where the old and the new communities are spatially in same geographic and administrative areas, governed by same regulations and laws but there is a visible disparity in their access to quality of housing and infrastructure. This disparity maybe of various levels and linked to multiple socio-economic factors, spatial conditions, access conditions, behavioral conditions, and others.
