Lucknow is one of the fastest-growing historic city of Northern India. The city has various congested yet prominent locations of cultural, historical and economic importance. Such areas demand an environment that is clean, noise-free, cohesive, accessible, and still plays a role in the city’s economic growth. A case in point is the area around Rumi Darwaza and Bada Imam Bada.
Low emission zone is one prominent approach which can be leveraged to fulfill the above mentioned objectives. Our project will involve assessing the traffic characteristics, activities, land use of the area and developing design and planning solutions with NMT facilities, EV vehicles and public transit (and IPT) to ensure enhanced economic activities along with quality of life.
