Inclusive stations: Examining mobility for children around transit

the DRP is proposed as an investigation of the quantity built environment around different types of transit stations available in the cities, to assess the child-friendly index on the parameters proposed by UNICEF and UN Habitat. The research aims to evaluate if these environs are safe, accessible, well equipped, well maintained and serve the specific needs for children and care-givers and provide recommendations for the transit stations in selected cities. The objectives are stated here ? To arrive at parameters for evaluation of transit stations for children and caregivers ? To evaluate the selected transit stations in cities ? To represent the evaluation effectively to communicate the study with relevant stakeholders ? To prepare framework for engaging with children and caregivers in design decisions ? To prepare detailed recommendations for the transit stations precinct
